Starting from the barter economy, the economic system, where complex economic systems developed and tools for value exchange diversified, affects all humanity on micro and macro scales. This reality shapes the economy, social life, politics, and relationships between individuals and states. Due to interconnected networks intertwined with globalization, developments occurring at one point can have a global impact.

The potential of the resulting impact led me to focus my work on tools of exchange, primarily money. At the same time, my work examines the place of individuals in different positions within the social order, based on Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory, and criticizes this fictional order in which we live.

When humankind could not fully meet its needs through barter and felt it could not obtain the value of the goods it produced, the path to the invention of money was opened. The invention of money became the source and provider of the mutual trust required for trade. It was also seen as the equivalent of labor .

The center of the wheel, which will continue to turn throughout the cycle of infinity, binds its freedom, its ultimate and absolute existence, to countless foundational laws. Humankind tries to carve out a place for itself among the layers of this functioning system. It defeats the power-wielding figures it encounters between the layers, and the victory gained inevitably leads to exhibiting self-serving attitudes. This is the prototype of the worker desired by managers: employees who become cruel as they gain authority…

As in Philip Zimbardo's highly debated Stanford Prison Experiment, any person in life can become cruel when the necessary conditions arise and their power becomes uncontrolled. The experiment showed how people adopted the roles assigned by society, could not escape the influence of the role, and uncontrollably fulfilled what was expected of them .

The individual living under capitalism has also become content with their situation, obediently fulfilling all the requirements of the role assigned to them. This is the type of human that capitalism desires and produces.

Banknotes and coins, designed and put into circulation, are like symbols reflecting the identity of countries. By looking at a banknote or coin, much information can be gathered about that country's name, its official language, its form of government, its economic system, and the values advocated by the state, based on the qualities of the depicted individuals. Money reflects many tangible values for understanding a state .

However, in today's world, where globalization prevails, supranational governance mechanisms are established, and common currencies are introduced, does the old magic of money and banknotes, and its cumulatively progressing story, still remain?

Have the established states of Europe, in accepting a common currency as one of the outcomes of the European Union process, distanced themselves from their own currencies and values? Has this situation created a new area for the American dollar and the American nation to boast about, as it has kept the same banknotes in circulation for over a century and is one of the world's most valid currencies ?

We need to look back at everything we glance at, consume, and spend. Some of us were greedy; never satisfied, they coveted more than they needed, and took what belonged to others. They involved money and its power in their pursuit of resources and wealth. With the power of money, they wanted to consume everything imaginable ; even themselves …

But to consume is, at the same time, to be consumed. To be consumed is the path from existence to annihilation.
