Manifesto of My Paintings
My main character is the “female figure”. My aim in my paintings is to reflect the male's dominance over women in terms of male-female relationships, using a simple and emphatic language.
The sharp and hard pointed corners of the square form remind me of men. For this reason, I use the square form as a symbol of the male gender in my works.
In my paintings, I place the square form, symbolizing the male gender, within a simple space, remaining in the background of my female figures. I create the deformed bodies of my female figures with a colorful approach, driven by the instinct of aesthetic concern.
I depict the deformed bodies, resembling monumental sculptures, of a man who wants her to remain under his shadow and a woman who tries to escape this situation.
