BIOGRAPHY

He was born in Adana in 1993.

After completing the Painting Department of Adana Anatolian Fine Arts High School between 2008–2012, he graduated from the Painting Department of Istanbul Işık University, Faculty of Fine Arts, and the Sculpture Department as a minor.

Since 2018, he has been continuing his master's degree in the Painting Department of Işık University, Institute of Social Sciences.

He lives in Istanbul and continues his work in his studio.

ARTIST STATEMENT

The artist brings together many concepts and plastic formations, from the efforts of abstract expressionists to capture the universal language that emerges from the explosion of colors in partnership with the spirit, to the rebellious, defiant, rule-breaking, and critical language of Pop Art figures like Rauschenberg.

It is possible to see that Koçali's unease about the era, the rhythm of the street, and the voice of the walls are reflected in his works, beyond technique and material.

These works, which multiply in details and reflect the totality of chaos, also transform into courageous explosions regarding the immutability of feeling and the cycle of the era.
