ARTWORK TEXT
The female bodies I depict in my works on female aesthetics and the body serve as a critique against the idealized, spectacular female bodies presented in society throughout history and by today's consumer culture .
The bodies I depict in my works can transform into a space within the composition , or they can find a sheltered area within the dreamlike quality of the space . The bodies can be depicted as a whole in my works , or as a section.
My aim in taking sections is to draw the viewer's attention to limb losses that are considered flaws by society and are expected to be hidden or covered . In my works that address the body as a whole , spatial analyses have been made that can create a contrast with the bodies' weight .
The aim here is to create a space where they can be peaceful and happy , without any aesthetic concerns, in order to convey a positive state that reflects their inner world . The predominant pinkish color of the bodies refers to the impositions created by being a woman, and to certain and obligatory sexist approaches .
