Recycling Art, which I consider more important and valuable than ever, has long captivated my interest. In a time when sustainability has become a real threat, it is a field that expresses its criticisms for a sustainable future through art and focuses on the destruction humanity causes in nature.
Although the found materials I use are technological mass-produced objects collected for recycling, I perceive them as if they were produced solely for these works.
My reason for creating installations by recycling found objects is to convey the exploitation of nature leading to mass extinction, the social and aesthetic problems brought about by excessive urbanization, and the alienation this process causes in humans.
In my works, my aim is to draw the participant into the unknown and unpredictable with an idea of construction and renewal that renders electronic waste anti-monumental; and at the same time, to create an emotional intensity with the vibrant colors I use.
I aim to express the conflict between city and nature with a playful narrative in the physical playgrounds I create.
