The Wall Art Gallery brought CANAN's "Language of the Heart" exhibition, shaped through symbols, nature, and intuitive expression, to the audience.

"Language of the Heart," one of the starting points of the artist's relationship with symbols, originated from the artwork of the same name first exhibited at the Mardin Biennial in 2018. CANAN emphasized that in moments when language falls short, symbols transform into a special form of communication between people; gaining new meanings in carpets, kilims, flowers, and various details of daily life.

The artist, aiming to "cleanse the language of the heart" of people while producing the exhibition, regarded the flowers, trees, and images taken from nature in the artworks as a "language of beauty." By juxtaposing nature's delicate expression against the coarse and hurtful communication among people, she expressed that a more beautiful form of communication is possible.

The exhibition, centered on the concept of "gönül" (heart/soul) which embodies the unity of heart and soul, made emotions and thoughts difficult to express with words visible through symbols. CANAN revealed that just as people are inspired by nature when speaking kind words to each other, art similarly establishes a new language through images.

“Language of the Heart” presented a visual narrative that appealed to intuition beyond the meanings carried by symbols. The images in the exhibition invited the viewer to feel rather than explain, thus experiencing the "language of beauty" defined by the artist.
